Why I Had to Revise This Book

After my first book was published, God told me to revise it.

When I first wrote The Powerless Church As We Know It, I had a fire in my spirit and a clear directive from Heaven. But somewhere between the manuscript and the final print, I compromised. Well-meaning voices advised me to soften certain truths, to remove content that might offend, to make the message more palatable. There was more God wanted me to write — and I missed the mark, because I compromised.

I had made a vow to God to write and speak only what He directed. I broke that vow trying to please people instead. The result was a book that said some true things but lacked the full weight of what God intended. The message was safe, but it was not prophetic. The words were informative, but they did not ignite.

The compromise cost me. My writing dried up. The anointing lifted. And I knew exactly why.

Now I'm operating in obedience. I'm revising, restoring, and releasing what should have been written the first time. This time I'm seeking God's approval over man's approval. I won't soften the edges to avoid offense. The message will burn with the original fire God placed in my spirit.

If this revised edition makes you uncomfortable, that's a good reaction. It's supposed to challenge how you think and make you reevaluate your spiritual journey.

The powerless Church needs to be confronted, not comforted.
