BARE MINIMUM BELIEVING

If you have ever walked away from a prayer feeling like you touched heaven — only to find yourself two days later consumed by doubt, fear, and anxiety over the very thing you prayed about — then this message is for you. I am not speaking theoretically. I am speaking from a very real and very recent place. God has a way of using our own moments of weakness to birth a word that somebody else needs to hear. So I am being transparent today because transparency is not weakness — it is the very thing that sets somebody else free. What He showed me in my moment of wavering I could not keep to myself. He called it

BARE MINIMUM BELIEVING — and if we are honest, most of us have been there.

Mark 11:24 NKJV

"Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them."

When it comes to prayer, we had better make sure we are praying wholeheartedly. Before we even think or speak, we need to make sure that our requests are rising from our spirit — and not our flesh. I thought I sincerely knew that God is not just a God who hears my prayers, but a God who ANSWERS. And I have been standing on that truth for quite some time now.

But recently, BARE MINIMUM came to me — and I asked, and the Lord answered me speedily. Bare minimum believing is when we are:

•         Barely believing the promises of God.

•         Barely persuaded that we are entitled to everything written in His Word.

•         Barely convinced that we are more than conquerors.

•         Barely choosing truth over a lie.

But it goes even deeper than that. Bare minimum believing is also when we are:

•         Barely standing on the Word when the report contradicts what God said.

•         Barely trusting His timing when the answer hasn't come yet.

•         Barely holding on to peace when the situation looks impossible.

•         Barely surrendering the outcome when we still want to control the result.

•         Barely believing that what He started, He is faithful to finish.

•         Barely walking by faith and not by what our eyes can see.

And if we're truly honest with ourselves, some of us are:

•         Barely resting in His sovereignty when fear has already taken a seat.

•         Barely praying with expectation instead of just going through the motions.

•         Barely trusting that His will is better than our own plan.

•         Barely standing after the prayer — instead of watching and waiting with confidence.

•         Barely convinced that the battle is already won before it even begins.

•         Barely believing that what concerns us truly concerns Him.

When God gives you a word, trust me — the setup is coming. Not to embarrass us. Not to make us lose heart. But to reveal where our hearts, our beliefs, and our spiritual posture truly are. It is to grow us — and to cause us to become the enemy's worst nightmare.

Isaiah 65:24 NKJV

"It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear."

Recently, a situation arose concerning something I deeply care about — something I intercede for daily. News came that shook me. Something that caused me to tremble, to fear, and to feel unsteady. I went to God. I laid it before Him. I asked Him to move, to order every step, and to let HIS WILL be done — and I thought I had touched heaven when I prayed.

But then — as if tapping me gently on the shoulder — God revealed something to me: my own doubt, my own fear, and my own unbelief.

Here I am — the one who tells you that we cannot pray trembling, shaking, and crossing our fingers, hoping God intervenes. And yet, there I was doing exactly that. I thank God for showing me the very things that many of us often overlook — because at times, we can be arrogantly convinced that we know it all, chest stuck out, standing on pride instead of faith. But God requires us to pay attention to every detail when it comes to prayer and intercession.

When we bring these prayers before the Lord, we must be fully persuaded — and even more than that, we must prepare our hearts for His outcome. Because it is written:

Isaiah 55:8 NKJV

"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways," says the Lord.

The truth of the matter is this: I spoke out of fear and not faith. Out of doubt and not belief. And I had to check myself — because He is not just a God who hears. HE IS A GOD WHO ANSWERS. And we must never forget: what concerns us, concerns HIM.

So let me ask you today —

Where are you in your prayer life? Are you praying with full persuasion, or are you barely believing? Are you standing on the Word, or are you standing on your feelings? God is not looking for perfect prayers. He is looking for honest ones. He is looking for a heart that is willing to say "Lord, I believe — help my unbelief."

Take a moment right now and examine your posture. Not just how you pray — but what you truly believe when you walk away from prayer. Because HE HEARS. HE ANSWERS. AND WHAT CONCERNS YOU CONCERNS HIM.

Now go back to that thing you prayed about — and this time, believe it.
