Cover Them Before It's Too Late
Proverbs 22:6 (KJV)
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
This isn't something that happens only in this generation's youth — it happened in the generations before them too. When we're young, we often make unwise and foolish decisions. Most of the time, we had a praying mother or grandmother standing in the gap, and God preserved us from the very mistakes we made out of ignorance. But some don't make it out. Some have to face the consequences of their actions, and those consequences cost them life itself — before their time.
We ask God, "Why did You take them? Why did You allow it?" But God has already given us everything we need about life and godliness — and that includes covering over premature death. His promises are "if you, then He."
Too many young souls have been left unattended, and the enemy has walked in and killed, stolen, and destroyed the destiny of young life after young life. Even when a soul departs in unrighteousness, that still doesn't mean God wasn't merciful right up until their last breath.
John 10:10 (KJV)
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
The thief is not guessing at his target. He is aiming specifically at the young, the unattended, the uncovered. So why are we still gambling with the souls of our youth? It begins with the parents — we must live righteously and train them up, just as the scripture says. But it does not end there.
To the intercessors, the watchmen:cover the children and young adults in your spiritual region, whether you know them personally or not.
Many of them don't fully understand the danger of the reckless choices in front of them — they're being shaped by a culture that tells them it's okay. So here's your assignment: ask the Holy Ghost to show you the souls of children and youth who need divine protection, healing, and salvation — then intercede wholeheartedly on their behalf daily.
Always pray in secret. They don't have to know we're praying for them. Heaven already does. Amen
